two-dimensional elements of form, design and color in my
three-dimensional wood sculpture. I am a collector, beachcomber, and
naturalist; and these interests have inspired me to push the sculptural
medium in my own unique direction. My creations are sometimes
realistic, sometimes imaginary, but always whimsical. Both pink
flamingos and stolid gray pelicans flank my studio door, with a purple
tiger lurking around the corner. My love of animals and concern for the
animal kingdom, all of which I consider endangered, is paramount to my
visual expression. I hope people, by viewing my work, will become more
conscious of the beauty and fragility of the world around us."</i></span>
