First Light was painted in an arroyo at the crack of dawn in winter in New Mexico. It's 11"x14", oil on board, and has a black frame. This is an somewhat uncharacteristic Beatrice, painted post-open-heart surgery. As usual, the subject is light, but in this case it is BIG light, light as a contrast. This painting is best seen in person.
